National Crime Victims' Rights Week
Every year the nation sets aside a week to raise awareness
about victims' rights, honor crime victims and
those who advocate on their behalf.
April 22 - 28, 2012
The theme is "Extending the
Vision: Reaching Every Victim" to
revisit, revive, and expand the vision that inspired the crime victims’ movement
and the progress we celebrate each year. It captures the spirit, insight, and
resolve needed to chart a course for reaching all victims of crime.
April 10 - 16, 2011
The theme is "Reshaping the
Future, Honoring the Past" which
applauds the power of victims and the
victims’ rights movement to change the course of history and transform lives. By
asserting rights and mobilizing resources that did not exist 30 years ago,
victims can hope to reshape their destinies by overcoming the impact of crime.
